Shahjalal University of Science and Technology was established in 1986. The university started its academic program with three departments: physics, chemistry and economics. Presently this university has twenty six departments. Among this Architecture is one of demanding departments which were established in 2005 under the School of Applied Sciences and Technology with four faculties and 30 students. In 2015 the school got accreditation from Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB). Presently this department has 15 no of faculty members and already 6 no of batches got their B. Arch degree successfully.
